Ann Arbor KTC was founded in 1978 by Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche for the practice and promotion of Buddhism in the Tibetan Karma Kagyu tradition. Located in southeast Michigan, we have members and friends from the Ann Arbor, Detroit, and Toledo areas.
Ann Arbor KTC regularly hosts Tibetan Buddhist masters who offer traditional teachings and the Refuge Vow for those who wish to formally adopt the Buddhist path.
The regular practices at the Ann Arbor KTC include silent sitting meditation, Medicine Buddha, Green Tara, Chenrezig and Amitabha. The center schedule is listed below.
All regular events are free of charge and are open to the general public.
Meditation instruction is available by appointment.
